The removable Brace
Invisalign® uses a system of a number of removable transparent appliances or "aligners" in order to correct the tooth position. You perhaps know similar appliances as anti-grinding-appliances or temporomandibular jaw joint appliances.
A model of your teeth is made. These models are scanned into the computer virtually in such a way as to place the teeth in an ideal position. Subsequently, an appliance is made on the basis of this model which is programmed into the new tooth position. The patient receives a series of new aligners per jaw (changing about every 2-3 weeks), until the desired tooth position is reached.
The use of Invisalign® is simple
