Funktionsanalyse Kiefergelenk Berlin

In our practice we place great importance on the manual functional analysis. Both the mobility and symmetry of the joints, and the maximum stress in extreme movements are examined with this analysis. In this way it can be found out whether the structures in the joint, such as the head of the temporomandibular joint, whether the socket or the disk, or structures around the joint, such as the musculature and ligaments, function together properly.

The smooth function of the temporomandibular joint can be affected by bad tooth and jaw positioning, by not being restored or a degenerative illnesses (e.g. Arthritis).

An orthodontic treatment at an early age can be a chance to initiate the development of good joint functioning. When adulthood has been reached, orthodontic treatment can be a way to break degenerative processes and wear, and regenerate damaged structures.
