We are delighted to be able to offer SureSmile® to you. We are the first practice worldwide to use the system outside of the US. SureSmile® is a new digital treatment system which works to provide orthodontic treatment using robotic hands to precisely bend archwire to your unique prescription. SureSmile® can be combined with all conventional fixed braces and represents a substantial improvement of previous treatment with fixed braces.
Reduces your treatment time by up to 30%
For the first time, it is now possible with SureSmile® to simulate different possibilities of treatment with the multi-volume technology in the computer, before treatment on the patient is begun. The treatment strategy optimal for the patient can thus always be compiled and the result has already been defined on the computer by the orthodontist.
Treatment period
As usual, castings of the jaw, x-rays and face photos are made before treatment. These documents are entered into the SureSmile® database and worked over again digitally in Dallas/USA. A treatment simulation can now take place on the computer via our orthodontists. When the optimal treatment strategy is found, the insertion of the fixed brace can begin. Then, as with any other fixed tooth braces, brackets are stuck on the teeth. After the first treatment steps have taken place, your teeth plus the brackets are scanned at our practice and from the data received, a new digital model of your jaw is provided. We then plan your tooth movement on the computer to a 0.1 millimetre precision and robotically bent archwires are customised for your treatment which then gently move your teeth. In a conventional treatment, the pre-fabricated wires must be ordered; in the SureSmile® treatment, these archwires are individually made for the patient by the robotic system.
The treatment time is shorter and you need substantially fewer check-up appointments at the practice.

Privately insured patients
The costs are covered by the private health insurance companies, however, it is usually recommended that you submit and receive approval of our cost estimate before beginning treatment.
